Privacy, plainly.
No legal fog. This page says what the site knows about you, where it goes, and how to say no to the optional parts.
When you write to me.
The contact form asks for your name, email, and a few sentences about what you are planning — plus a phone number, a date, and a location if you have them. That note is stored in a private database and lands in my inbox, and it is used for exactly one thing: reading it and replying to you.
Nothing you send is sold, shared, or added to a mailing list. Enquiries are kept while we are talking and for my own records afterwards; write to me any time and I will delete yours.
Cookies and analytics.
I use two measurement tools — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — to learn which pages lead people to enquire. They count visits and show me anonymised patterns; they do not run advertising, and I never see who you are. Page-speed monitoring (Vercel Speed Insights) also runs, and it sets no cookies at all.
For visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland the analytics cookies stay off until you say yes. Everywhere else they are on unless you turn them off below. These are the cookies involved:
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Tells returning visitors apart and keeps session state. | Up to 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | A visitor id for anonymised heatmaps and session replays. | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Links the pages of a single visit together. | 1 day |
| fp-consent | This site | Remembers the analytics choice you make here. | 12 months (6 months when declined) |
Your choice.
